8 damage after MTA bus crashes into pole in Flushing, Queens


FLUSHING, Queens (WABC) — An MTA bus crashed into a lightweight pole in Flushing, Queens, injuring eight folks.

It occurred at 57th Highway and Principal Avenue at 6 a.m. on Friday.

Surveillance video obtained by Eyewitness Information confirmed the town bus making its means on Principal Avenue, and because it crossed over the intersection, that is the place issues went south.

It gave the impression to be an entire wipeout because the bus jumped the curb.

The impression was so nice it tore down the road signal pole that was connected to the visitors gentle, ripping all of it from the concrete. The visitors yellow gentle left bounced up prime.

Seven passengers and the bus driver have been taken to New York-Presbyterian Queens for non-life threatening accidents.

An official mentioned that there was no apparent motive for the bus to leap the curb and take down the pole, aside from inattentive driving.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
