NJ legal guidelines: ‘Skip the Stuff’ prohibits plastic utensils in supply luggage in Hoboken, except clients ask


HOBOKEN, New Jersey (WABC) — Starting Sunday in Hoboken, plastic utensils will not be in supply luggage – except clients ask for them.

The Metropolis Council handed the laws generally known as ‘Skip the Stuff’ again in June. It makes it unlawful to slide plastic forks or spoons right into a takeout bag except the shopper particularly asks for utensils.

Council members hope the regulation helps decrease the quantity of waste from single-use plastics.
