LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Diane Keaton’s household revealed the Oscar-winning star’s explanation for demise to Folks Journal Wednesday.
The household confirmed to the journal in an announcement that Keaton died of pneumonia.
“The Keaton household are very grateful for the extraordinary messages of affection and help they’ve acquired these previous few days on behalf of their beloved Diane, who handed away from pneumonia on October 11,” reads the assertion.
The Oscar-winning star of “Annie Corridor,” “The Godfather” movies and “Father of the Bride” died Oct. 11 on the age of 79.
Los Angeles Fireplace responded to Keaton’s house and transported her to an L.A. space hospital the place she died.
No public memorials have been introduced but.
The sudden information was met with shock around the globe. Keaton was the type of actor who helped make movies iconic and timeless, from her “La-dee-da, la-dee-da” phrasing as Annie Corridor, bedecked in that necktie, bowler hat, vest and khakis, to her heartbreaking flip as Kay Adams, the girl unlucky sufficient to hitch the Corleone household.
Keaton gained her first Oscar for “Annie Corridor” and would go on to be nominated three extra instances, for “Reds,” “Marvin’s Room” and “One thing’s Gotta Give.”
In her very Keaton manner, upon accepting her Oscar in 1978 she laughed and stated, “That is one thing.”
Keaton was born Diane Corridor in January 1946 in Los Angeles, although her household was not a part of the movie business she would discover herself in. Her mom was a homemaker and photographer, and her father was in actual property and civil engineering.
