FDNY firefighter Patrick Brady funeral preparations introduced; died battling Brooklyn hearth


BROOKLYN (WABC) — Funeral preparations have been introduced for Patrick Brady, an 11-year veteran of the FDNY, who died whereas responding to an all-hands hearth in Brooklyn on Saturday evening.

Brady’s wake will likely be at Marine Park Funeral Dwelling in Brooklyn on Friday, November 14, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and seven p.m. to 9 p.m.

The funeral will likely be held on the Church of St. Francis de Gross sales in Belle Harbor, New York on Saturday, November 15, at 11 a.m.

The funeral may even be streamed on the FDNY web site.

Brady, 42, was working on the roof of a hearth at 9407 Kings Freeway in Brooklyn when he suffered a medical episode and went into cardiac arrest, officers mentioned.

Fellow FDNY Firefighters and FDNY EMS instantly handled him. He was rushed to Brookdale College Hospital Medical Middle, the place he died.

On Sunday morning, fellow firefighters and first responders arrived at Brady’s firehouse in Brownsville for a bunting ceremony to honor his life and legacy. Brady was given a dignified switch earlier Sunday morning.

Brady’s ties to New York’s Bravest run deep. His two brothers, Jimmy and Brian, are FDNY Firefighters. His cousins and uncles are additionally FDNY Firefighters.

Brady lived in Far Rockaway, Queens. He’s survived by his spouse, Cara.
