An enormous fireplace broke out on Thursday night time at a Chevron oil refinery in California, one of many largest on the U.S. west coast, following experiences of an explosion.

No accidents had been reported from the incident on the El Segundo plant, Chevron mentioned on Friday, with the U.S. power main’s fireplace division personnel and emergency providers “actively responding” to the scenario.

The El Segundo oil refinery is able to refining 290,000 barrels of crude oil per day, Chevron says on its web site, and its main merchandise are gasoline, jet and diesel.

California Governor Gavin Newsom’s press workplace mentioned on Friday that the governor had been briefed on the incident at Chevron’s El Segundo oil refinery in Los Angeles County.
