On Monday morning in Rome Cardinal Kevin Farrell Camerlengo or Cardinal Chamberlain of the Holy Roman Church introduced the loss of life of Pope Francis I.
That was adopted some 17 hours later by the ceremony of ascertainment. A proper acknowledgement of Francis’ loss of life…and the switch of his physique to his coffin.
And it is one just a few of the numerous centuries-old rituals that may play out over the subsequent a number of days because the church mourns Pope Francis.
