Grace Etzelberger, 66, has been charged with animal neglect and confinement. She is accused of breeding and promoting the cats — a lot of which have been Maine Coons.
On Wednesday, animal rescue volunteers described pulling cats from mountains of filth within the now-condemned residence.
“The home was disgusting, was completely deplorable, there was wall-to-wall feces and urine, there was not anyplace clear in any respect in the home,” volunteer Renee Kraft stated. “The litter bins weren’t cleaned, the cats have been simply defecating and urinating wherever in the home.”
