The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) mentioned a small earthquake occurred in Stamford on Monday morning.
The 1.3 magnitude quake occurred simply earlier than midday round 11:55 a.m.
The USGS mentioned the earthquake was reported about 5 kilometers away from North Stamford, in shut proximity to the Merritt Parkway.
This comes after a number of residents reported tremors Thursday evening and into Friday morning.
Some residents described the noise as a sequence of loud explosions, inflicting properties to shake and even knock photos off partitions.
It is unknown if the tremors are related to Monday’s earthquake.
