BUSHWICK, Brooklyn (WABC) — A shaken seven-year-old boy is recovering weeks after he was attacked by a pit bull whereas training on a baseball subject at a Brooklyn park.
Angel Sanchez has all the time dreamed of stepping onto the diamond at some point for the Yankees. He lives for the sound of a house run leaving his bat, ceaselessly training underneath the rumble of the J and Z trains in Thomas Boyland Park.
If baseball is his dream, what occurred to him final month on the sector grew to become his nightmare.
“I used to be bleeding and crying,” Sanchez stated.
The Bushwick boy is roofed in cuts and bruises from his decrease again all the way down to his thigh and legs.
His cuts had been so deep it took 9 stitches to shut them up. They don’t seem to be accidents from rounding the bases or sliding into residence plate.
He remembers it prefer it was yesterday when the pit bull attacked him.
“I did not see it. It was going behind me. I pushed it away however then it bought me once more and I screamed,” Sanchez stated.
The daddy and son had been training with Angel in proper subject and his father behind residence plate.
He sprinted to assist his son when the canine approached.
He says he grabbed the canine as arduous as he might, then bit the canine within the neck to get him to launch his son.
Surveillance video confirmed the canine and its proprietor standing by the fence when the pit bull all of the sudden made a beeline for Angel.
The video reveals the canine’s proprietor, who was the primary to leap in, throwing punches at his personal canine to get it to let go.
Henry Sanchez says he thought the pit bull was going to kill his son.
He says that after the proprietor tried to assist, he merely left the scene and did not appear to care.
Police have been unable to find that pit bull and its proprietor for the reason that assault on April 14th.
Sanchez simply needs an apology, and does not need this to occur to anybody else.
