new 12 months with a frightening set of challenges within the nationwide safety area – from international conflicts to terrorism threats, cyber warfare to the collaborative, anti-West efforts of the so-called “Axis of Authoritarians.” And whereas policymakers deal with these points – or attempt to – some consultants worry that there’s a systemic drawback in play, and that the present construction and strategy of the U.S. protection institution makes it more durable for the nation to satisfy the myriad challenges.
That’s a view held by Gilman Louie, who has had a three-decade profession in nationwide safety and funding, which included service as the primary CEO of In-Q-Tel, the CIA-funded know-how funding agency, and time spent with the Protection Innovation Board. Louie is at the moment co-founder, CEO, and Managing Accomplice at America’s Frontier Fund, a self-described “deep-tech fund” devoted to advancing U.S. nationwide safety pursuits.
