INWOOD, Manhattan (WABC) — A harmless bystander who was injured in a taking pictures in Manhattan this week is talking out after the obvious random incident.
Francisca Nunez, 64, stays at Harlem Hospital on Tuesday with a bullet lodged inside her left leg.
The taking pictures occurred close to Broadway and 204th Road on Monday.
She mentioned dozens of teenagers wearing black had been arguing about one thing when certainly one of them pulled a knife, which was adopted by a gunshot.
The retired mom of 4 says she knew straight away she was shot. She mentioned she felt the warmth in her leg after which got here the blood.
That bullet struck her in her left buttocks and is now lodged inside her left higher quad.
She stays on the hospital with no thought if medical doctors will take away the bullet or when.
Nunez says she is now scared to stroll the streets however she can be offended.
She mentioned if she had a message for the teenagers, it might be to remain at school as a substitute of working round and killing one another.
When requested if she has a message for the mayor-elect, Nunez mentioned to get these weapons off the streets.
She says she believes he can do it if he focuses on the problem.
Police have made no arrests.
