Ridgewood liquor retailer taking pictures: Surveillance video launched in Queens theft after shoplifting try


RIDGEWOOD, Queens (WABC) — Surveillance video was launched Wednesday displaying a liquor retailer proprietor taking pictures a shoplifting suspect in Queens.

The taking pictures occurred Monday night time in Ridgewood after police say Kevin Pullutasi and Edwin Poaquiza, each 20, tried to steal bottles of vodka from Franja Wine and Liquors.

Prosecutors mentioned 53-year-old Francisco Valerio tried to cease them once they attacked and Valerio pulled a licensed handgun from his waistband.

He tried to strike Pullutasi on high of the top, however missed and the weapon went off, putting Pullutasi within the abdomen.

Valerio mentioned he solely meant to pistol-whip Pullatasi and the gun went off by mistake.

Each shoplifting suspects are dealing with a number of costs, together with theft, assault and menacing.

Valerio was launched with out bail on Tuesday night time, He’s charged with assault, reckless endangerment and legal possession of a weapon.
