United flight from Chicago to LaGuardia diverted to Pittsburgh for 'potential security concern'

CHICAGO, Illinois — United Airways stated a flight that took off from Chicago O’Hare Worldwide Airport and was set to land at LaGuardia Airport was compelled to land in Pittsburgh on Saturday as a result of a “potential safety concern.”

United flight 2092 departed Saturday morning.

The flight was diverted to Pittsburgh “to deal with a possible safety concern,” United stated.

The pilots reported listening to a “sequential beeping” onboard, ABC Information reported.

Passengers evacuated the airplane on slides.

No accidents had been reported. There have been six crew members and 159 passengers on board.
